Here's the backstory....
Hooray for HOLLYWOOD (dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-DUN) Hollywoooood.....
In late 2004, Dave sent guitar guru Carl Verheyen (www.CarlVerheyen.com A-list L.A. session guitarist, and guitarist for the band Supertramp, and guitar hero of Dave's - how does Dave get to meet these people???) a copy of the last batch of tunes he had been recording. Well, Carl really liked the stuff and suggested that Dave come out to L.A. to record in a real studio to put himself in the best light so that he could use the recording to try and get work as a guitar player for hire. Dave wanted to do the project with Joe and Jay (since they're after the same goal, just on different instruments), so the game plan was broadened to be the first official Bump CD entitled, "Bump" (man, we're geniuses).
The project grew to be recorded at the same recording studio where a plethora (that's our favorite Godzilla movie, by the way - "Godzilla vs. Plethora") of great and legendary acts have recorded; including Van Halen, Led Zepplin, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Sheryl Crow, Weezer, Prince, The Doors....well, you get the picture. For the complete list of amazing artists that have recorded at this legendary studio, click here: Sunset Sound (we were in Studio 3 - the exact same room where Prince recorded tracks for "Purple Rain" and The Wallflowers recorded their album "Bringing Down The Horse").
More stuff (pics-n-such) to come...
