It's like your I-Pod only with a live band! At a
LIVE POD show, you'll be able to request your favorite songs ALL NIGHT
LONG!!! No more wondering if the band is gonna play the stuff you like.
Please visit the other pages of the website for
a lot more info on the band members, the shows, the music, etc.
BUMP is the child brain of long-time musicians Joe Rocha (bass guitar and
vocals), his younger brother Jay (drums), and their friend (by law) Dave
Benziger (guitar).
As far as playing
live is concerned, BUMP is unlike any other band ANYWHERE.
Yeah, we know you've heard that before. But have you ever heard of a band
that lets the audience select all the music for the night? And we
don't mean a guy playing guitar and singing songs out of a music book, we're
talking a FULL BAND. Well, that's what BUMP does. Not to mention the fact
that the live performances are complete high-energy shows founded on solid
musicianship and more fun than you'll have at any party. Basically, BUMP has
a 55-pound drum of musical whup-ass and it's gonna pour it on ya. Our goal
is to send the audience home where they go into the corner of their room and
curl up in the fetal position feeling that they've been (in a good
way) musically violated.
So, how does it work? We thought you would never
ask (since you're sittin' there in your underwear not saying anything while
you stare at your computer screen). At every BUMP show, audience members are
provided with a copy of the ever-growing* list of tunes below. They are
encouraged to yell out their requests or just circle the tunes they want to
hear and hand the page back to the band. This way, the audience hears what
they want to hear (which does not happen a lot at other shows with
other bands). Plus, we here at BUMP (a division of ConHugeCo.) play many
different styles of music and we play them well. We're not bragging, but
we've been doing this for over 20 years while working with some of the best
musicians in the Chicagoland and suburban areas. Plus, we just love playing
music (Awwww...)
Look, we know how this works:
When the audience hears what they like, they're happy.
When they're happy, they eat and drink (and pee a lot).
When they drink and eat, the bar/club owner is happy (We're sure he could
care less about the pee).
When the bar/club owner is happy, he asks the band back.
When he asks the band back, the band is happy.
When the band is happy, we play better. When we play better, the crowd is
happy and the whole beautiful circle of life begins again.
